Planning an event is a time consuming activity and something you would probably rather leave to someone else, which is where we come in. We will save you loads of phoning around, logistical nightmares and ensure you end up in the best venues, on time and on budget!
To help you plan your event, we've put together some useful tips and advice:
Get the facts - a rough idea of numbers, duration of event, location area and budget will help us to fulfil your specific company requirements to a more accurate and tailored proposal.
If you have been handed the task by your manager or friend, it may be an idea to ask them what they want out of the day and any specific requirements. Even if you are planning the day yourself, it may be useful to write this down.
Try not to be too personal think about the type of people you are inviting and what they would like to do or enjoy. There is a huge selection of events and activities to suit all types of people, so selecting the right option is key.
Even if you do not book with us, make sure the company you are booking with is reputable and check evidence of their past events. A site visit is always worthwhile. There is a range of quality across the events market so standards do vary. We vet all our suppliers to ensure that they are at the level that a corporate or teambuilding event deserves.
All the best hotels and guest houses get booked up months in advance. Depending on where you go, there are rules that govern certain hotspots. Two night stays are applicable in certain towns and a lack of hotels that accept group male bookings can be a problem. Despite this, we have certain hotels and guest houses that will work with to get round these problems and with our vast contacts, we have been know to pull it off at the last minute
Try to confirm who is definite about joining you for your day. It is always a good idea to ask for a deposit to show their commitment.
It can be advisable to set a budget. This way, you can not get carried away and no one can get upset! We are used to working with all kinds of budgets and always manage to get the best for your hard earned money.
Make sure all guests are aware of what is expected of them and what to bring to the event. Check weather reports and make sure they have a copy of our joining instructions.
Do not leave it to the last minute; it is not only hotels that get booked up. Activity centres and entertainment centres are also very busy at weekends and in the summer and you do not want to make do with an average option on your special day because it was not planned enough!
